A 23-year-old Idaho man was killed early Saturday morning while crossing Beach Boulevard in Stanton, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
Steve Weston, who was visiting the area, was walking on Orangewood Avenue at 12:24 a.m. Clad in dark clothing, Weston was crossing Beach Boulevard when he was struck by a 1994 Toyota Corolla driven by Manuel D. Crisantos of Norco, Lt. Steve Fauchier said.
Weston was pronounced dead at the scene by a county coroner, Fauchier said.
Crisantos, 27, told police that he had a green light and did not see Weston in the crosswalk. He was not held or cited. The investigation is ongoing.
