Re “Bush Urges New Greenspan Term,” Nov. 7: I’m for Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan too, but I’m not running for president. George W. Bush should not be endorsing anyone for this office, as he should know this is a strictly nonpolitical call. That’s why board members have a 14-year term. Maybe he needs to bone up on this and other matters.

I have always admired Paul Conrad’s cartooning ability, although I seldom agree with his philosophy. His Nov. 9 cartoon showing Gov. Bush as Dan Quayle says what my wife and I have been saying for months--the liberal media will try to do to George W. what they did to Quayle. The question is, will George W. be faster on his feet and not let it happen?
