Placentia’s senior population may get a little larger with the proposed addition of an upscale retirement community near Rose Drive and Alta Vista Street.
The City Council will vote tonight on Homeplace Retirement Communities of America’s plan to build more than 300 units for independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing.
The plan was backed last week by the Planning Commission, but with the recommendation that the structure be scaled down. Commission Chairman Marv Reid objected to the four-story height of one building.
