Boy’s Conviction

Re “Michigan Boy Convicted in Preteen Killing of Stranger,” Nov. 17: A society that would try a 13-year-old boy for a crime allegedly committed when he was 11 is barbaric and morally depraved. Anyone who believes that putting a boy in adult prison makes any sense at all is unfit for public service. Has anyone noticed that the boy is black? This action puts our country in the same category as the vicious dictators of the world.
