LAGUNA BEACH

As part of a citywide effort to expand public artwork, the Laguna Beach Arts Commission is accepting designs for its annual bench competition.
The artist-designed benches should be able to accommodate a minimum of four people, and withstand an oceanfront environment.
The proposed location is Heisler Park, between the gazebo and Jerry Rothman sculpture on Cliff Drive overlooking the ocean. Interested artists should submit a scale-model design to City Hall by noon on Jan. 24. For information, contact Arts Coordinator Sian Poeschl at (949) 497-0722.
