Local wordsmiths are encouraged to enter a writing contest being sponsored by Los Escribientes, a group that meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Dana Point Library. Entries should either be 32 lines of poetry or 1,600 words of prose and must be mailed by Nov. 1 to: Los Escribientes Contest, P.O. Box 7073, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607. Winners will receive certificates and will be published in the group’s monthly newsletter.
