The City Council authorized an agreement with Collaborative West Inc. of San Clemente to design the city’s largest recreational area for up to $263,100.
The 22-acre Forster Ranch Community Park, which carries an estimated price tag of $3.3 million, is slated to feature two soccer fields, two tennis courts, three sand volleyball courts, an amphitheater, two children’s playgrounds and several group and individual picnic areas.
Officials expect the park to open in January.
