Just in case defensive end Evan Allen had lost track, his Hart teammates were counting aloud from the sideline in the Indians’ 26-7 victory over Loyola on Friday.
Allen, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound nuisance to Loyola quarterback Eric McClenahan, knocked down or tipped six of McClenahan’s 21 passes.
“He’s a good athlete,” Coach Mike Herrington said of Allen. “He was pass rushing pretty hard, but he just couldn’t get there in time [for a sack]. [But] it was a solid performance.”
Allen, a junior, leads the Indians with seven pass breakups and ranks second with three sacks.
