Eighteen-year-old Jeff Fischer was honored by Mayor Cynthia Greengold and the Orange County Fire Authority at a recent City Council meeting for helping fight a brush fire in his neighborhood this summer. Fischer hopped the backyard fence of a home in the 24900 block of Georgia Sue Circle and used a water hose to keep flames off a home until firefighters arrived. Fischer was presented with two commendation certificates.
