A free public tour of a native plant garden, a walk to a wildlife-refuge observation platform, and children’s activities will be part of a celebration Saturday of the birthday of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Naval Weapons Station on Seal Beach Boulevard. A free lunch will be included, and volunteers will have an opportunity to take part in tree planting.
