With unanimous approval by the City Council, Stanton became one of the first cities to sign an amended agreement with the Orange County Fire Authority on Tuesday night. The agreement gives cities until Dec. 31, 2000, to renew a 10-year contract with the Fire Authority. The agreement also puts caps on cost adjustments made during the first five years at 3.5% and those made in the second five years at 4%.
