O’Day to Help Launch a Weekend of Swing

Jazz legend Anita O’Day will mark her 80th birthday today by launching “Camp Hollywood,” a three-day swing-and-dance event at the Hollywood Palladium, 6215 Sunset Blvd.
She will appear with the Eddie Reed Swing Band, from 9 p.m. to midnight. Saturday night will bring the Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra featuring the Lucky Stars, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Dean Mora’s Modern Rhythmics will perform the best in ‘20s and ‘30s dance music Sunday night, 8 to midnight.
