In other West Valley League openers:
Taft 41, El Camino Real 7--Lee Marks rushed 14 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns for Taft at El Camino Real.
Taft (2-4) scored on every first-half possession, including a 23-yard screen pass from Brandon Hance to Marks on the opening drive.
Marks, a junior, scored on a 13-yard run early in the second quarter and Hance scored on a one-yard run to give Taft a 20-0 lead with 4:22 left in the first half.
Jon Graham of El Camino Real (3-3) was sacked four times, but connected with Kenton Morris on a 12-yard scoring pass.
Taft’s Gregg Guenther, playing for the first time in four weeks because of a shoulder injury, had three sacks. Marks had an interception and a fumble recovery.
Marks scored on a 46-yard run 46 seconds into the second half and Hance scored seven minutes later on a nine-yard run, extending the lead to 34-7.
Hance completed 18 of 26 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
