The Serrano Water District and Orange Unified School District court case has been continued to Jan. 10 because the presiding Superior Court judge had a scheduling conflict with another trial.
The water district is suing the school district to force it to sell the 526-acre Barham Ranch site, which they co-own, to developer SunCal Cos. to build tract homes.
As a result, the Orange Park Acres Assn. has filed a lawsuit against the water district for allegedly violating the California Environmental Quality Act by failing to conduct an environmental impact review.
The hearing between the association and water district takes place today at 1:45 p.m. in Department C at the Justice Center in Santa Ana.
