The autopsy of a man who was kidnapped and found dead over the weekend was inconclusive, officials said Wednesday.
Scott Carrier, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, said it will take at least six weeks to complete toxicology and microbiology tests on 47-year-old Juan Adolfo Herrera that could reveal more about his death.
Herrera, of Santa Clarita, was kidnapped Saturday from his shop, El Rodeo Boots, in the 1000 block of Maclay Avenue. Sunday, Los Angeles sheriff’s investigators found Herrera’s van with a body inside at a Mission Hills shopping center at Rinaldi Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
