COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Titans Beat Denver in Soccer

Shaun Higgins scored in the fifth minute of sudden death to give Cal State Fullerton a 2-1 victory over Denver in a FILA Classic men’s soccer game Sunday at Fullerton.
Fullerton (2-0), which outshot Denver, 26-11, reached overtime only after Duncan Oughton scored the tying goal on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute to make it 1-1.
Denver (0-2) took a 1-0 lead when Nick Hartman scored in the 52nd minute.
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Cal State Fullerton 3, Towson State 0--Jamie Ivers had 16 kills for the host Titans (2-2), who won, 16-14, 15-3, 15-10.
Megan Sabo had 13 digs and five aces for Fullerton.
Towson State is 1-3.
