Leo “Ken” Duryea, a retired air weapons electronic specialist, died Saturday. He was 68.
Duryea was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
In 1954, he moved to Ventura County.
Duryea served in the Navy, and worked in civil service at the Point Mugu Naval Air Station.
After 37 years of service, he retired and was honored for his dedication and excellence.
He was an avid golfer and belonged to the San Buenaventura Men’s Golf Club.
He was also a member of the Soule Park Senior Men’s Club and loved to cook.
Duryea is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy; son Kenneth of San Antonio, Texas; daughters Susan Garcia of San Antonio, Debra Davidsen of Seguin, Texas, and Kimberly Duryea of Ventura; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
