Harvard-Westlake 40, Channel Islands 14--Lerato Simelane and Luke Hornblower each ran for two touchdowns for the Wolverines at Channel Islands.
Hornblower scored on a one-yard run on Harvard-Westlake’s first possession and added an eight-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Simelane rushed for 82 yards in 14 carries and scored on runs of five and six yards. He also had an interception.
Channel Islands took an 8-7 lead in the second quarter when Tommy Menga scored on a 14-yard run, capping a 13-play, 71-yard drive. Menga finished with 73 yards in six carries.
Harvard-Westlake took the lead for good when Bryan Carlson completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Richard Nicholson midway through the second quarter.
