Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa has added a third Sunday service to accommodate a growing congregation. Church officials said that adding a 6 p.m. service will help ease crowding; over the last few months the two morning services have drawn more than 1,000 participants, forcing some to stand.
“It’s the best problem we could have,” said Keith Page, lead pastor of the nondenominational church, which is celebrating its two-year anniversary this October. The church was established as a daughter congregation of Mariners Church in Irvine.
The church has also opened the Rock Harbor Cafe, which provides live music and coffee after each Sunday evening service.
Service takes place on Sundays at 8:45 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Costa Mesa Senior Center, 695 W. 19th St. Information: (949) 548-2600.
