VALLEY ROUNDUP : Granada Hills : VFW Post to Host POW, MIA Event

A Veterans of Foreign Wars candlelight ceremony will honor prisoners of war and the missing in action Friday at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
The free, hourlong ceremony will include VFW and local Junior ROTC color guards, speakers, former POWs and representatives from 17 local VFW posts. The park is at the corner of Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue.
For the second year, the event will be sponsored by the VFW Granada Hills Post 2323, which received an outstanding community service award last year at the national VFW convention.
VFW members include American veterans of overseas duty during wartime.
