Dave Workman scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter and had an interception before halftime to pace the Warriors’ victory at Clark Field.
Add to that Steve Joo’s seven-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a couple of fumble recoveries, and Brethren Christian (1-1) had a 14-0 lead at halftime.
Warrior quarterback Kyle Painter scored on a 12-yard run in the fourth quarter. Painter was six of 18 for 81 yards.
St. Anthony quarterback Eric Camarillo replaced Daniel DeLuna and scored his team’s only touchdown--a seven-yard run--in the fourth quarter.
St. Anthony’s fell to 0-2.
“We were consistent and we had a pretty even passing and running game,” Brethren Christian Coach Bruce Eien said. “It played out really well for us.”
