Baugh Driven by Self-Interest
* Assembly Republican leader Scott Baugh (R-Huntington Beach) would have us believe that having his attorney present during his grand jury indictment on charges of election fraud and campaign funding violations would have resulted in no indictment (Sept. 9).
Baugh, an attorney, certainly knew what was in his own best interest and how to protect that interest.
The manner in which he first attained his Assembly seat attests to that self-interest.
Formerly “law and order” Baugh. Now “defendant’s rights” Baugh. A curious conservative turnaround.
Yes, Baugh knows what’s in his own best interest, his own “special interest.”
