Local Cadet Receives West Point Award

Cadet Matthew Fix, son of Peter and Sonya Fix of Oxnard, received the Superintendent’s Individual Award at the U.S. Military Academy. Fix graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 1997. He plans to graduate from West Point in 2001 and will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army. Fix was awarded the Golden Wreath, which honors cadets who have “excelled academically, militarily and physically during the year.”
