The marching band of Magnolia High School will host and make its debut performance Saturday at the Preview of Champions, a lively event at Anaheim’s Glover Stadium featuring 27 marching bands from six counties in Southern California.
Each band and accompanying flag and drill team will have 15 minutes to display its skills and precision in rendering music ranging from Bach to rock.
“It’s a riot of color,” said Harvey Berish, a booster club member of Magnolia’s marching band and editor of a national marching band magazine.
The first band will take the field at 2 p.m. and the last will finish about 10 p.m.
