Notre Dame (3-0) will host Alemany (3-0) on Friday without two-way starter Chris Shibel, who suffered a sprained knee last week against Saugus.
Shibel, who starts at tight end, linebacker and punter, will be sidelined for at least one week, Coach Kevin Rooney said.
Trevin Lund, the Knights’ starting tailback, is expected to replace Shibel on defense. Brett Savel will handle the punting.
With fan interest expected to be high for Friday night’s nonleague game matching the region’s Nos. 1 and 2 teams, Rooney said the school may add bleachers on the visiting side.
