BUENA PARK

Paint Buena Park Beautiful, sponsored by the Beautification and Environmental Commission, will be painting two houses Saturday as part of a community service to its low-income and elderly residents.
The project, which received a community block grant of $5,000, is in its second year, and hopes to paint three more houses after the winter.
About 20 volunteers will work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be treated to a lunch by Knott’s Berry Farm and morning coffee from either Starbucks or Po’ Folks Restaurant, depending on the location of the job.
There are plenty of volunteers this time, but for residents interested in volunteering for the next project, or those who need information on getting their homes painted, call the Public Works Department. Information: (714) 562-3651.
