Newbury Park Gets Even With Carson

Oli Keohohou had two hits in the first game and three hits and three runs batted in in the second game, but Newbury Park High settled for a split in a nonleague softball doubleheader against Carson on Saturday at Moorpark High.
Carson beat Newbury Park, 5-1, in the first game. The Panthers (11-4) rebounded to win the second game, 4-2.
Keohohou scored Newbury Park’s only run in the first game on a single by Kamala Kiffe, who finished with two hits. Keohohou had a two-run triple and RBI double in the second game.
Moorpark 4-0, Rio Mesa 1-8--Chanel Tripp (8-2) pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the Spartans in the second game at Rio Mesa.
Maria Ayala hit a two-run double for Rio Mesa (9-4) in the second game and a home run in the first.
Hart 7, University 0--Casey Pickard hit a two-run home run for the Indians in a Fountain Valley tournament game at Hart.
