Two Thousand Oaks elementary school principals are retiring at the end of the school year and a third is taking a yearlong leave of absence.
Assistant principals from within the Conejo Valley Unified School District will take over their posts.
Principal Leean Nemeroff of Park Oaks Elementary is retiring. She will be replaced by Mary Attea, assistant principal at Lang Ranch Elementary.
At Banyan Elementary, Principal Bill Lamp is also retiring. Judie Tetzlaff, assistant principal at Madrona Elementary, will take over there.
And at Manzanita Elementary, Gayle Hughes is taking a one-year leave of absence. Beverly Eidmann, assistant principal at Westlake Hills Elementary, will fill that spot.
Hughes says she is taking her leave for family reasons, but she says she’ll miss the school.
“It will be in good hands,” she said.
