If you’re not a dog lover, you might want to avoid Lake Rancho Santa Margarita on Saturday morning.
A few hundred four-legged canines will be leading their owners on a mile run and a walk around the lake to raise money for the Saddleback Valley Humane Society.
The cost to register for the fourth annual “High Tail It Around the Lake” is $20. It includes a T-shirt for owners and a pet bandanna.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. The run starts at 9:25 a.m., and the walk follows at 9:30.
There also will be a Frisbee competition, and the Humane Society is promising a visit from a “celebrity animal guest.”
