The city will soon seek a new city attorney.
Carol Tanenbaum, who has held the post for 13 years, announced last week that she will step down.
City officials already have begun to take the necessary steps to fill the vacancy.
“I really wanted to cut back on my legal work,” said Tanenbaum, who quickly added that she was not retiring but simply relinquishing the post with her biggest client.
