Determined to top its subdued 25th anniversary celebration, the Capistrano Unified School District will commemorate its 35-year milestone throughout the 2000-01 school year.
The celebration will begin with the creation of an Alumni Hall of Fame marking successes in academics, athletics, community service, military or civil service and visual and performing arts.
Nomination forms will be available beginning this week at the district’s Web site, https://www.capousd.k12.ca.us, and at the district office in San Juan Capistrano, schools and community locations such as grocery stores.
Completed nominations must be submitted to the district office by Sept. 22. A panel of 11 community members will select the inductees, who will be announced at a gala Oct. 28.
