Leadership Program Accepting Applications

The Ventura Chamber of Commerce’s “Leadership Ventura” program is accepting applications for the 2000-01 class.

The program was established in 1994 to help develop future leaders for the community. Since its inception, the program has had more than 70 graduates.

Once a month from September through June, participants attend an all-day session where community issues are reviewed and discussed. Topics include criminal justice, culture and the arts, economic development, education, environment, government, health and human services, and the media.

The deadline for saving $50 on the $600 registration has been extended to today. Registration information is available at 648-2875.
