Arizona State senior tailback Delvon Flowers tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a scrimmage and will miss the season. He is expected to apply for a redshirt season. . . . Texas A&M; senior defensive lineman Rocky Bernard tore a ligament in his left knee and is lost for the season. Bernard has been a starter the last three seasons. . . . The Pacific 10 Conference’s Compliance and Enforcement Committee is recommending that Washington’s self-imposed penalties for impermissible contacts by Husky coaches with Colorado football players be modified to 84 grants-in-aid and 24 initial grants in football for the 2001-02 academic year. . . . Former Auburn coach Terry Bowden has agreed to promptly move out of his home as part of an agreement with the university, ending a dispute over whether he violated terms of a financial package he received when he quit in 1998.
