Thousand Oaks Follows Jack’s Lead

Chris Jack scored two goals in his first game since suffering a concussion and Thousand Oaks High defeated Simi Valley, 4-0, in a Marmonte League boys’ soccer game on Wednesday at Simi Valley.
Jack missed five games after bumping heads with a teammate during a nonleague game against San Marcos.
He scored his goals during a three-minute stretch in the first half to give the Lancers (8-2-3, 2-0 in league) a 2-0 lead.
Simi Valley is 9-4, 2-1.
Danny Ermolovich had four assists for Thousand Oaks and goalkeeper Trent Plyler recorded his third shutout of the season.
In other boys’ soccer games:
Newbury Park 2, Agoura 1--John Krupansky scored two goals and the Panthers (4-7, 1-2) won a Marmonte League game at Agoura.
Crespi 4, Harvard-Westlake 2--Shane Fierst had one goal and one assist for host Crespi (6-6-2) in a Mission League opener.
Calabasas 5, Brentwood 0--Itzik Rapaport scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season in a nonleague game at Calabasas (11-0-1).
Rapaport has eight goals in the last three games.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Agoura 3, Newbury Park 0--Jennifer Graham scored two goals and the Chargers (7-2, 3-0) won a Marmonte League game at Agoura.
Monroe 2, North Hollywood 0--Lourdes Alaniz scored two goals and the Vikings won in pool play of the Monroe tournament.
WRESTLING
Highland 55, Palmdale 12--Heavyweight Paul Soto pinned Chris Jacobson in 34 seconds to lead the Bulldogs (19-2-1, 2-0), ranked No. 2 in the region by The Times, to a Golden League victory at Palmdale. Soto is 14-3 this season.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Agoura 20, Newbury Park 2--Joanna Antonsen had four goals, four assists and four steals in a Marmonte League game at Agoura (5-3, 1-0).
