The City Council will consider tonight whether to reinstate the conditional use permit of the Rainbow Inn. The council revoked the Beach Boulevard motel’s permit in November on the Planning Commission’s recommendation after numerous code violations. The city agreed to a public hearing on the issue after receiving a letter from attorneys representing the Rainbow Inn. The letter asked for reinstatement of the permit based on renovations now underway that will bring the motel into compliance.
