CARSON — A 23-year-old man died Friday morning after being shot the night before in an apparent gang-related attack, authorities said.
The mortally wounded man was found at about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 20900 block of Margaret Street, said Deputy Belinda Johnson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Officers responded to a report of “shots fired” and found the victim on a sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound, Johnson said.
The man was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he died at 3:35 a.m., officials said.
Longshore said “there are certain indications that this could have been gang-related.”
Authorities withheld the man’s name, pending notification of relatives.
