Marty James Companion of Ventura died Saturday after a traffic accident in Ventura. He was 33.
Companion was born Sept. 13, 1966, in Toronto and moved to Ventura when he was about 3. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School.
For the past 10 years, he had worked at Procter & Gamble’s Oxnard plant as a maintenance technician.
Companion loved surfing and the ocean. He was also known for his warm smile and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of almost nine years, Megan; two sons, Josh and Sean; his mother, Gertie Krinkie; his father, James Companion; two sisters, Louise and Christina Companion, and a brother, Donnie Krinkie.
Services are today at 3 p.m. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home with the Rev. Monsignor Arnold Biedermann officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of his children, Josh and Sean Companion, in care of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
