Recent Westminster High School graduate Michael Nguyen won $1,000 for his answer to an essay contest question asking “Should Government Control the Internet?” Nguyen’s essay titled, “Don’t Tread on Our Internet,” argued that the government should not impede on the public’s “fundamental right to unaltered, unrestricted information.” The 33-year-old contest is co-sponsored by the Americanism Educational League and the Pilgrim Foundation.
