Colorado State Eliminates USC, 66-56

Freshman Jackie Campbell’s three-point basket sparked a late 15-4 run and gave Colorado State the lead for good Saturday night in a 66-56 victory over USC in the second round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament at Fort Collins, Colo.
USC (16-14) led, 45-38, with 9:05 to play but the Rams (22-9) scored 10 of the game’s next 11 points. After the Trojans took a 50-49 lead, Campbell’s basket put Colorado State ahead to stay.
Junior Denise Woods led USC with 15 points. Senior Tiffany Washington had eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
