Joe Boyle, an instructor at Cypress College for more than 20 years, will be honored as an outstanding individual of the year during Sunday’s 29th annual awards banquet of the Orange County Human Relations Commission at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center.
At Cypress College, Boyle developed and taught an urban politics class and helped create a multicultural course requirement for students.
He has also served on the Orange County Community Housing Corp. board, where he worked to provide housing for low-income families. Tickets to the banquet are $12 per person. Information: (714) 567-7470.
