Shelley L. Crawford; Lifelong County Resident

Shelley Lynne Crawford, a homemaker and lifelong Ventura County resident, died Thursday at her home in Oak View after a long illness. She was 51.
She was born Dec. 7, 1948, in Ventura, where she grew up and went to school.
Crawford had worked for the Ventura Head Start program and attended Oak View Baptist Church.
Gwendolyn Boysel of Ventura said her daughter loved to cook and spend time outdoors.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard Crawford of Oak View; a daughter, Elena Nichole Boysel of Oak View; two sons, Lawrence Heron III of Ventura and Scott Warner of Oxnard; and a sister, Janice Beamer of Ventura.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura, with the Rev. Tom Morris of New Hope Christian Center in Oak View officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
