The Police Department will hold its Police Appreciation Day and Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the central police station, 2000 Main St. There will be tours of the crime lab and police facilities, refreshments, appearances by McGruff the Crime Dog and Officer Surf, and displays from the helicopter, canine, traffic, SWAT, beach detail and DARE units.
