Mayor Anna Piercy and Councilman Tim Keenan will sponsor a picnic Sunday to celebrate their reappointments to the City Council. The two incumbents were unopposed for reelection this year and are hosting the event with personal or campaign funds, officials said. Both Piercy and Keenan will be available to meet residents, and free hot dogs and soft drinks will be served. The picnic will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Veterans Park at the corner of Ball Road and Denni Street in Cypress.
