Canyons 42, Ventura 6--Travis Winn and David Parker combined to pass for 405 yards and five touchdowns for the Cougars in a WSC Northern Division game at Nordhoff High.
Winn, who completed seven of 10 passes for 246 yards, threw touchdown passes of 64 and 60 yards to Terrell Stanley.
Winn gave the Cougars (8-1, 5-1) a 21-3 halftime lead on a 57-yard scoring pass to Andre McIntosh.
McIntosh scored on a 70-yard pass from Parker to give Canyons a 35-6 lead early in the fourth quarter. Parker completed nine of 13 passes for 159 yards. He threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to Leon Pinky. Stanley had four catches for 138 yards.
Josh Barton kicked field goals of 24 and 28 yards for Ventura (4-5, 3-3).
