$3.5 Million Buys McFadden Park

After weeks of negotiations, members of the City Council have agreed to sell the 12-acre McFadden Park to the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District for $3.5 million.
School district officials have been trying to purchase the site in the middle of a minority neighborhood to build an elementary school to serve about 800 students.
The City Council and the school district board must give final approval.
