New Class Offers Advice on Careers
Those who feel lost career-wise, can seek help from a new eight-week Ventura College class.
The class is designed for people who are unsure about their employment and education options, and gives them an opportunity to discover the types of careers that best fit their needs.
Students design their own schedules in this self-directed course.
The class will involve self-assessments and use of materials from the college’s career center, said program coordinator Karen Gorback.
The course begins Monday with a mandatory orientation meeting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ventura College Career and Transfer Center.
For information, or if you cannot make the first meeting, call Gorback at 477-2020.
