Crescenta Valley 40, Glendale 12--Hudson Gossard threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns for the Falcons (7-0, 2-0) at Glendale.
Gossard, who completed 16 of 20 passes, set a school season record with 21 touchdown passes. Scott Vossmeyer, now at Oregon, threw 19 touchdowns last season.
Crescenta Valley receiver Jason Burkhart caught five passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Dustin Nersesyan of Glendale (0-7, 0-2) rushed for 103 yards in 24 carries. Teammate Ebony Henry ran for nine-yard touchdown and threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Hickcox.
