The Orange County Transportation Authority and the city will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 9 a.m. today for construction of the county’s newest Metrolink station.
The $7-million station is expected to take six months to complete and should be open in the spring.
The station will consist of a platform, canopy and 300-space parking lot. It would be served by 19 daily trains connecting Orange County to Los Angeles County, as well as 12 daily trains connecting Orange County to Riverside and the Inland Empire.
The ceremony will take place at the station site at Jamboree Road and Edinger Avenue.
