The city is offering a $1,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for cutting down two city Tipuana Tipu trees.
The trees were felled Aug. 20 at 34212 Pacific Coast Highway. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating. No witnesses have come forth.
Dana Point planted the trees about 3 1/2 years ago as part of a city beautification program.
