A Nashville company said Wednesday that it has acquired the Stadtlander corrections division from Bergen Brunswig Corp. for $6.25 million, plus the purchase of inventory.
The buyer, America Service Group Inc., said Stadtlander corrections is the largest correctional pharmacy company, with about $80 million in annual sales--half of which were purchases by America Service.
Orange-based Bergen, one of the nation’s leading drug wholesalers, said previously it was expecting to sell Stadtlander Operating Co. units. Bergen’s stock closed Wednesday at $10.44, down 6 cents.
